Hello dear readers,

It’s about halfway through the month, but better late than never! Sorry for posting later this month – I was feeling under the weather over the last few weeks.

I feel like I make so many references to the British Royal Family when explaining ancient Chinese titles, and so would like to take a moment to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away last Thursday, September 8th, 2022. She felt like the world’s beloved grandmother. Her dedication to duty and service to her country was truly an inspiration, and she was a constant during times of uncertainty or upheaval.
Rest in peace, Ma’am.

There are several online condolence books, but here is the one from the royal family’s website, if you’d like to leave a message.
